35 remington
I'm picking up a marlin 336 tomorrow in 35 remington and was looking for some places to start on reloading for it.I've heard of some people using 357 for short range/varmint loads.
What are some loads that have worked for ya'll. |

RP brass, RP 9 1/2 primer, RP 200 grain RNSP, 39.5 of IMR 4064. DRT for any thin skinned game including Bullwinkle.

The old but still excellant 336/.35 is a fine deer and fun rifle inside about 175 yards. Since a vast majority of deer are killed inside 90 yards the range is not so limited as many seem to think.
Remington's 200 RN is MADE for that cartridge. Accurate, deadly and inexpensive, especially when bought in bulk from sorces such as MidwayUSA. Sure, you can use jacketed .357 pistol bullets for plinking and small varmint type critters. Very explosive. |

There is a new bullet with soft a tip for lever actions. The tip is red. Can't think what it is called.
With the 200 grain bullet I use 37.2 grains of IMR 4895. I tried the handgun bullets once but wasn't very impressed. |

I no longer have a .35 Rem. but still have the dies, four boxes of new factory unprimed brass and 71 rounds of various brands of once and twice fired brass. I'll probably never get another rifle so chambered so if you need dies and brass, $70 plus shipping takes all. All you'd need to chase down is the shell holder for your press. Dies are RCBS. Price is for the new brass and dies. The used brass is free.
