Can anyone tell me an easy way to get rid of the white-line spacers on my 700 BDL. I certainly don't want to dismantle the stock but dio not like the appearance of the spacers. I have covered them with a back magic marker for now and it looks a lot better but am looking for a permanet, easy solution. Any ideas? Thanks stubby

Fore end spacers and the black tip are glued on and nearly impossible to remove except by sawing them off. Buttplate spacers are held on by the buttplate. Easiest way is to paint them black with a small brush (your magic marker will rub off). On the front, you can cut whole front off and replace with a rosewood tip. Problem with older Remington stocks is that they have heavy plastic finish that when disturbed starts to peel, so take care unless you want to refinish the whole stock.
