Billy the Kid holster in CAS?

Is this Billy the kid holster usable for cowboy action shooting?

Difficult to draw from maybe when its not so "open" as the Hollywood style holsters?

See link: http://www.cochiseleather.com/hs1881...thholster.aspx

It looks like a lot of the holsters in use when I started CAS.
The trend now is toward kind of a cross between Hollywood and Real West.

Yes, perfectly permissable.
And Cochise Leather makes good products.

Nice looking holster. AFAIK, you will need two holsters on your belt: One regular on the strong side and a cross draw on the other side. It's also nice to have room on the belt for a shotgun shell holder.

The only time you need a specialized holster is for Fast Draw, and I've had a few CAS shooters tell me they thought Fast Draw holsters were too loose for CAS.
