Yes, by all means let's let anyone with a computer and a vivid imagination post any Rambo crap they want to post regardless of how it affects the public persona of the forum as long as no one can prove them wrong.

...this forum's public persona that you speak of...just who are we trying to impress and why should we give a rat's patooty what they think?

If you want to accuse someone of lying, you'd better me able to back it up with something concrete. Otherwise you're making yourself sound like a total idiot.

If that's the way you look at things, why should anyone believe anything you post?

Plus, how are you positively affecting the public persona of this forum by accusing someone of lying without taking time to provide proof of the accusation? All you are doing is making this thread sound juvenile.

If you don't believe it, that's fine, just move on and post somewhere else.

People might want to familiarize themselves with the mission statements of this forum. If they feel the need to operate counter productively towards them they might want to excuse themselves from participation.

That is crap. If someone wants to make outlandish and unbelievable statements from their american ISP while pretending to be a 3rd world revolutionary I think the burden of proof falls upon the one making a spectacle of this forum.

It is not the audience's responsibility to prove anything. It is however up to OP to prove any claim that he wants the audience to believe.

edit PBP beat me to it.

Oh no he didn't!

Seriously though, does either side of this matter that much? Someone close the thread and lets get back to our regularly scheduled programming already.

Mods,

Can we change the title of this thread to "Gecko45 takes a walk in a park"?

Nothing condescending about it. Mall ninjas and basement commandos are a blight on the gun community and they should never be tolerated in open forums. Their names should never even be spoken accept as the punchline in a joke.

Well...if he's from an American ISP then that would be something to ponder now wouldn't it?

That would be some proof to cause question of this story.

It's just stupid and immature to blame without proof, anyone that blames without proof, is acting juvenile..that's my humble opinion.

If you have an argument/proof to stand on, then that's a different story.

Otherwise, if you don't feel this thread is consistent with the mission statement of this forum, let a moderator know about it, and move on.

It's not rocket science, folks............

You have a real backwards way of looking at things. Believing outlandish stories simply because no one is proving them false. I bet you are a great target for internet scams and love to hear about alien abductions.

I think the OP's public thrashing here by the rest of us will convince any passerby of this forum's lack of tolerance of BS'ers. I do believe our public persona here at TFL will remain intact however strained you may feel its integrity to be.

Until they read the posts of people defending him and going along with his story. What part do you think most people will fixate on?

I am also very confident that any reasonable reader who reads the posts of those who defend the OP with their illogical argument/s will be amused at worst.

I don't know what all the noise is about....
something similar happened to me once.
i was with the 47th CSH in afghan.
only difference is we didnt put em in a trunk and drive em anywhere.
and it didnt happen in a park.
and it was m16's instead of AK's
and it was a sanctioned military action.....
well, i guess it wasnt too similar after all.

Tall tale? Maybe, maybe not. What I can tell you is that Firepower!'s IPA traces back to the Asian Pacific Network. Take it from there.

There are plenty of reasons to close this thread, and most of them don't relate to the OP .

Closed, for a total and disappointing lack of civility. This is NOT how we do things at TFL, folks.
