Well looky what the cat dragged home
I've wanted one of these for ages and have been watching the dang things go by on Gunbreaker for princely sums so when I happened upon one NIB in Tucson today for $495 I was overcome by bad fiscal judgement. Ah well..
My only question is who let the guy from the Uberti paint shop loose in the Ruger grip staining booth?? Egads! :barf: And after suffering with substitutes for some time now I came across a can of Scheutzen honest-to-freakin-goodness GUNPOWDER at the same shop! Cripes, I'm about to have kittens. Cheers, Oly |

You have a good cat oly
Mine only brings dead mice & rats.... usually with the head missing, or the whole thing regurgitated on the back door step......
Will have to show him my guns & try getting him to bring me one of those Only trouble is, he doesnt do "chores" Guess I'll just have to be happy with chucked up rats and think myself lucky

I like it, It's a great lookin pistol and tough as nails. If it were mine I'd get a set of ivory polymer grips for it. I think the grips that are on it will age nicely.

Nice shorty. The red Ruger emblems are unusual. I have only seen a few other ROA's that had the red emblems from the factory.

Yeah, my pooches usually bring me kangaroo rats! If it wouldn't bring the gendarmerie down on me like a Biblical plague I'd have quite a shootin' gallery in my back yard every evening. Cheers, Oly |

Hard to tell with the heavy polymer coating they put on 'em these days. They're something - that's for sure! Cheers, Oly |

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I also noted that the stamping on the barrel is on the top but most (as in every other one) I've seen have it on the side. My dealer got this as a "special" from her distributor as "new old stock" and I highly suspect it was a parts gun cobbled together in the factory just to get it out there and earning some dough. The box has the correct serial number but it's caliber is listed as .45 LC! Huh? Scratching my head, Oly |

Thanks! We have local grip maker that I have a mind to make me some ebony hand fitted grips for it. I like the black/silver combination but stag calls to me as well. Cheers, Oly |

Just get out yer buffing pads and strip/polish up that new Remington you just got! I bet you can make that thing look like a nickel plated Wild Bill Special if you put some sweat into it. Shoots like a dream! My local outdoor range is busy with a big match this week so I went to the indoor range, popped in my R&D .45 Colt cylinder and gave it a workout. Shoots great, simply great. Thanks, Oly |

Nice ROA shorty! I want to get of pair of them with the faux ivory grips and the shiny SS finish. Problems is that I need to get me some open top BP revolvers too.
