A couple years back my friend gave me some of his handloading equipment, I have a vauge idea of how to use it (thanks to youtube) but I could deffinately use some tips on the components of the load (best powder, best primers, ideal amount of powder) stuff like that. i know each rifle has its own individual powder/bullet combination, I just need a base to get started on.

Get a quality reloading manual( Sierra, Hornady, Nosler, Hogdon etc...) and it will tell you what powders, primers, bullets, etc..., to use.
And then you have to shoot and shoot until your gun tells you the load that it likes.

What type of firearms do you own?? It would be easyier if we knew what kind of reloading you were looking at.

Its a .35 rem and a .270 win. sorry no pics camera isn't working. I rarely go out with the .35 so I'm more concerned about the .270

there are also websites with data from accurate arms and IMR powders as well as others. that .35 Rem is great gun/round combo, light, fast, & powerful the .270 is pretty great also.

tahoe-2 has it right. Get a good reloaders book or several and study it. I read about reloading for about 6months before I pulled the handle for the 1st time. That was 15yrs ago. Lyman, Speer and Lee had some great information in their books. Their are some great guys on this forum that will help you also if you run into any issues. Enjoy yourself because its addicting.
