Score!

I actually found a case of Federal AE today on Craig's list, made the deal.

$.85 per

Was not cheap, but expensive beats unable to find!

Finally over 2k, bring on next week!

That is a crazy price. If you need it then "whatever the market will bear." Are you taking a carbine class?

No, just got a membership to a local range for christmas, and had been afraid to shoot up my stock because it simply cannot be found around here.

Call a shop anywhere near here and ask for .223 or 5.56 and they laugh.
People are trying to trade rounds at $1.50 to $2.00 per...

I have been looking for a solid month, and asking everyone to ask someone else, it was not a matter of price so much as finding someone selling.

Still around twice what I could have had it for 3 months ago, but now at least I can go shoot!

On my list of items to acquire is reloading equipment, so I will now have over 2k rounds of brass and should not have this issue for the foreseeable future...

I'm not shooting anything except centerfire handgun for IDPA and to practice with my carry gun.

Prices and availability are nuts. I wasn't around for the previous panics. Not enjoying this at all.

I had pretty much stopped shooting everything at this point but the shotgun.
Even contemplated getting a .22 just to have something I could afford to shoot and or find ammo for.

It chapped me a bit to pay that for it, but as it stands, people here are all still frantic, and what you can find people are wanting insane amounts for few rounds.

It was a large enough quantity to ride out this storm IMO, and the cheapest considering.

Good luck finding 22 ammo. People are hoarding it also since it's so cheap.
