Self control
I'm currently storing my brother in law's powder and primers while he moves.
"Must....not.....use....components...." All this powder and I can't reload with it! Those cans of IMR and Hodgdon just sit there begging me to load up a thousand rounds or so. I wonder if he'd be mad if I ran him up some ammo? |

Isn't there a "storage fee" involved here...
or maybe you were worried about having all that powder in one place, as it MIGHT be a fire hazzard... so you put into many samller containers, so as to make it more safe...

You know powder can degrade over time. To be on the safe side you should load up a hundred or so rounds every week to make sure it's OK for him to use later. Better safe than sorry.

Buy a few boxes of that .9mm mechanical pencil lead, break it into the correct size lengths & just "back-fill" those powder containers as you use it up - looks close enough for who it's for.
That the powder "went bad" under your watch ain't your look-out. BIL shoulda picked a better guardian, IMO. |
