I've got to go with the SR1911CMD as my next purchase.
Please get back and let us know how that works for you.

I have the full size and the CMD size. The full size one shoots to point of aim and the CMD size shoots 2 in. low and 1 inch right at 12.5 yards.

They both have the Novak sights. I don't know why the CMD would be so different.

The only thing I feel different in the trigger is a slight "catch" just before the shot breaks. I can't imagine that would cause the problems I am seeing.

If it is the sights, some way or the other, I have to get about .025 added to the rear or taken off the front. To continue to use the three dots, I would need a shorter front sight and just milling the bottom of the front sight will most likely prevent it from staying in the dovetail.

I am taking both guns to the indoor range tomorrow and try to get to the bottom of it.

Shield on Tuesday.

Almost bought a Nano. Next, I plan to buy a hunting rifle chambered in 243 then a Kahr CW380. Lastly I would like to get a Ruger 10/22.

I'm thinking about another HK. I carry an HK45C, but would like an HK45 as well.

Hopefully, a SIG P224 in 9mm with DA/SA or a SIG P227 in .45.

Going to try to wait and not spend my money before I can find a Walther P99. I did see a S&W 686 2 1/2" and a Sig P239 the other day - if no Walther shows up they might tempt me too.

Re: What is YOUR next handgun?

Subcompact 9mm of some flavor. Looking at the obvious candidates... LC9, Shield, Nano, CM9, etc. After that I feel the need to add a Vaquero to my safe.

Nothing in the near future, I just went a little crazy in the last couple months. But I'm interested in the Beretta 92FS compact.

I thought it was going to be a Walther PPQ, but after bringing it home I hear all these wonderful things about CZ 75 compacts and Canik/TriStar C-100s. I'm starting to think I need to check one out...

Well, here I was, all certain that I'd go with a G19. Now I'm considering a G30 . . . decisions, decisions.

For about three years, my next handgun was going to be a Vltor Bren Ten. Now that that's off the table, I might be waiting for a 10mm CZ that's been teased on a youtube video.

A S&W M&P Shield is definitely on my short list, but it is looking more and more like my next handgun is going to be an FNX-9 or maybe its striker-fired counterpart the FNS-9.

Can you post a link to that video? That might just be my next handgun if they end up making them
