Disappointed by Christiansen Arms

I recently got to handle a Christiansen Arms 1911 and it's even more disappointing than some of their rifles are. The trigger, slide fit, bushing fit, and lock-up are worse than most $1000 1911s, and this one is priced well over $3000. Heck, it even has a MIM mag release. OK, so it has a titanium frame with tungsten carbide slide rails, but is that worth paying over three times more than a similar steel-framed 1911?
