Hornady 135 gr. 9mm FMJ - $23.50/1000
I was browsing GlockTalk and came across a deal at Lock, Stock and Barrel in Valentine, Nebraska. They have Hornady "blemished and discontinued" rifle and pistol bullets at a pretty good price. I ordered 2000 of the above mentioned bullets for a little over $60.00 shipped. I can barely buy local lead bullets of the same weight for that price. Just thought I would share the wealth.
http://www.lockstock.com This could go in the "Retail Deals and Feedback" section but it will probably get more exposure here. Mods, feel free to move if you see fit.

Thanks for the Tip!
I seldom get over to GlockTalk and wouldn't have seen that. They were out of the 124 FP 9mms I wanted so I ordered a couple of thousand of the 135s. And the .25 ACP bullets at $7.50/1000 were just too good to pass up. Haven't loaded any in years, but this will make me start again.
Best, Johnny |

Not anymore. I think I got the last 2000 115 grain Speer TMJs from Midsouth, along with the last 200 of their 200 grain .40 / 10 mm TMJs.

Price at Lock Stock & Barrel for 115 FMJ - - -
9 mm bullets was higher than any of the others, so I disregarded them--Figured I could get 'em for about that prrice at a local gun show. Glad I hesitated--Elder son gave me a thousand 115 FMJs this morning for my b'day.
Things tend to work out. Best, Johnny |

i ordered 4000 of the 115's from midsouth and only got 3000 so they all must be gone----by the way most of the FMJ's i've ever bought had lead showing on the base--these were sort of cup shaped and had no lead exposed--i wonder if they are some sort of plated bullet--they don't look like it but the lack of lead on the base makes me wonder.....Dick

Accuracy?
How accurate are these bullets when compared to "normal" ones? If the blemish affects accuracy, I'd rather not.

gchuang,
IIRC, the guys on GlockTalk said the "blemishes" were just lack of a perfectly polished jacket in some instances, and in other instances, they could not tell the difference between the "blemished" bullets and normal ones. Also, some of these bullets are being closed out because they have been discontinued. I'm sure you can call LS&B to find out the details on a particular type of bullet. The MidSouth deal sold out within the first day or two but if you register on their email notification system, I'm sure they'll have something in the future. |
