Ar slings
I am just looking to be pointed in the right direction. Does anyone recommend a certain sling or brand of sling that would work well for carrying a m16 or like gun? I have kind of been looking around but not sure why one kind is better than another. Thanks for the help,

I suggest nylon webbing and findings from REI or equal
It's easy enough to make up a carrying strap from bulk nylon webbing, buckles and such. These are readily available from REI or other outdoor equipment stores for lashing to backpacks and for making tumplines or adding chest straps to the bag harness. There are even plans and bills of material to be found on the web.
I'd add that the tactical single point harness can lead to loss of muzzle control in a civilian context. |

Appreciate the help, I might have to look into those plans. It would be kind of nice to make one for myself that fit just right. Do you have a link for a pic so I can see exactly what you mean by single point. I get what you are saying but I am wondering exactly what that harness looks like. Thanks

I think at work we get ours from galls. I don't know the model but the sling with the bungie cord material is very nice.
