Well I was able to get to the range today to try out my new loads with Titegroup powder.
What I did was copy the loads that I had made with W231 But use Titegroup.and shot about 70 rounds of each to compare. The new loads were about twice as clean and accuracy was incredibly better. Not just a little differance but alot. Looks like I have found a new powder for my 9MM target loads. Thanks for all your Input!!! Tony Z |

I hear good things about this Titegroup stuff. For the informal plinking that I do, and at the distance I typically shoot, target-grade accuracy is not foremost of my concerns for powder selection.
I do like clean burning powders though. I have shot some reloads from one of my local ranges that were really dirty loads. They didn't have a lot of muzzle flash, but they produced a heck of a lot of smoke and soot on the gun after firing. Yuuck! Any of you have some clean burning powder recommendations? I am going to start reloading for .38/.357, 9mm, .40S&W, .44 Spl/Mag Thanks for your help. ------------------ Remember, just because you are not paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you! |

Cougar,
If you want loads in the 'medium' range Hodgdon Universal Clays works wonderfully in all the calibers you list. Much like Unique but much much cleaner, and easy-metering, too. ------------------ "All my ammo is factory ammo" |
