I just picked up a colt govt. 1911 it is in fair to good condition finish is rough , barrel is in good shape and frame to slide is
also good , what I like to know how old is the gun . Ser. # 256607 Thanks for any help

Randall, this number without a C denotes the pistol being built in 1918. George
