Cheap Scopes for AR
I was wondering if there are any half-decent scopes out there for around $100 or less to fit to my S&W M&P AR-15..? I'm not looking for anything too fancy, just something functional that holds its zero reasonably well and something that I can see the target a little better with. Am I wasting my time or can I achieve what I want for that kind of money..? I've been checking out a few red-dot scopes with x2 or x3 magnification and like the Burris AR-332... but at well over $200 its way over my current budget. Also, is my foresight gonna get in the field of view for this type of optic...?
And please refrain from using the phrase, "you get what you pay for"... it sounds good but isn't really that helpful |

I've had success with a Hammers 2x red dot. Found mine on ebay.
If you want glass then check out Tasco's products on optics planet. |

I bought a Hakko Tac Point Blue Ring with a mount for $125.

Simmons Pro-Diamond 1.5-5x32. It is a shotgun scope, but works fine for an AR. I used a similar one for a few years in 3-gun matches, so it got banged up some and held zero. It is called ProDiamond at Optics Planet and ProHunter at SWFA.
