S&W 4056 tsw

Hi, I'm new here so I hope I do everything c0rrectly! My problem, question, is this...I recently acquired a pre-railed S&W 4056 tsw and would like to get a laser sight for it but.....there is no rail to mount a laser to. I have checked out Laserlyte, Optics world, etc. But to no avail. I called Smith and Wesson and was told that all 4056 tsw's are railed. I have seen plenty of pics of other tsw's and no rails on any of them. They (S&W) also told me that the rail from mine must have been removed and they could put a new rail on it for $150. They said that I had to send it in to have it done and would not let me purchase one and send it to m so I could install it myself. If there is anyone that could shed some light on this (a laser made for the 4056 tsw or a way to rail it)I would be greatly thankful. Thankx Robert
