Need Help Sighting In Yugo Mauser.

Today I fired my 24 47 Mauser @ about 175 Yards.
I hit high and to the Right. I was using Wolf Gold 196 Grain Soft Points.
My Front Sight is Drifted to the left.

Do I drift Further Left or Right on the front sight?
The Rifle Grouped nicely but about 6 Inhes to the right.

Move a front sight in the opposite direction, that the POI needs to be moved.

Move a rear sight in the same direction that the POI needs to be removed.

If your POI is too far to the Right, moving the front sight to the Right - or the rear sight to the Left - will move the POI Left.

Thanks, I was confused on that, There is not much I can do about shooting high, I will just have to learn a hold, But to be hitting in the middle would be a good improvement.

there are many variables ,was there any wind that day,have you tried any other ammo, usually there are marks on the front sight made at the arsenal from bore sighting, if there are no marks you can start by bore sighting the gun at 25 yards,what i do is pull the bolt,rest the gun on sand bags,or in gun vise,and sight thru the bore 3 in high at 25 yrds should be the ticket,dead on at 150 yrds,and so on,also try some military surplus ammo perferably the same country of origin as the rifle,normally a rifle with a front sight off centerd is caused by a shooter who needed a shorter length of pull,since there is no rear adjustment,as the duke once said ,windage and elevation,man,windage and elevation.

MR Andrew Storm,

It was a little windy today, not too bad, The Rifle Consistantly hit to the Right, It was more pronounced at longer ranges. And shoots extreemly high.
The Good thing is that it Groups Beautifully. If I could Center the Sights I could learn a hold.
I dont want to alther the firearm, as I love the way it looks in its original form. It has a very good bore, and functions well.
Both the Romanian Surpluss and the Wolf 196 Grainers, hit to the Right, and the sight is drifted to the left.
I sure wish the sights could go lower, but thats not possible.

My Rifle may have been carried by a Smaller Man, thats interesting.
The Man however took very good care of his weapon, and for that I am thankfull Its a nice one.

Look for a taller front sight to correct the high poi at under 200yds.

FWIW, It's entirely normal for a military Mauser to "shoot high" @ 100yds, especially using commercial ammo and the original battle sights - which were built/engineered for a zero at MUCH longer battle distances, on the order of several hundred yards.

It's also quite normal to switch out the front sight blade for a higher one, to lower the POI accordingly - just don't buy any old dovetail front sight blade (It won't fit the narrow Mauser dovetail).

IIRC, Mauser battle-type replacement front sight blades (higher/different bead) are available, with the small male dovetail.

Brownell's sells a gunsmith's version, that's extra-tall, to allow sighting in & filing down for a perfect zero:
