Favorite .350 Remington Magnum loads
I have recently ordered a .350 Rem. Mag. barrel from matchgrademachine for my Encore. Also purchased new dies, brass, ..... 200 gr. Barnes TSX and 225 gr. Nosler Partitions. Any of you .350 Rem. Mag. fans willing to share some of your favorite loads? Also, how far off the lands are you seeting your bullets? Thanks!, HarCoHunter.

I have one in a Rem 700 with a 24" barrel and depending on your barrel length will govern the speed, as you probably know already. I have two loads for mine as follows:
59.0 grs IMR 4064 under a 200 gr Rem Core-Lok. That gets about 2600'ps. 57.0 grs under a 250 gr Winchester RN. That gets about 2400'ps. You can't buy the Winchester bullet that I have but there are others out there just like it. The IMR4064 powder is a compressed load and as always, start low and work up. COL is governed by the mag length on a 700 and frankly, I couldn't tell you how far off of the L/Gs it is. I just sized them as long as possible and it would still function in the mag and feed correctly. That's an issue you won't have with an Encore. |

Fine round. I carried one, a Rem 660, as a backup when guiding. Loaded with the heaviest bullet I could find ... a 275g Hornady that I also used in 358W. Neither were fun to shoot but I felt good with them. Used 54g of 4895 which was pretty heavy but did what I wanted. I did not load the 350RM for accuracy but it was surprisingly accurate (2" at 100yd). Took one backup shot with it at 25 paces! Tried it on coyotes (I did a lot of experimenting on coyotes with everything from 222 to 375H&H). The big bores bored a hole through okay but the coyote often ran several hundred paces. Sometimes was bowled over but up and running. With a 22-250 or Swift, they died right there!
