I have a 1969 Darne in 16ga 2 3/4" , it is imp cyl and modified, it has very pretty french walnut with no butt plate with an 'English' grip and a 'silver' reciever with pretty fine engraving . It has a 27 1/2" barrel and weighs about 6 pounds 2 oz. . It is the 'Quail Hunter' V-19 model. The sliding breech 'water table' is engine turned and smooth as glass in action. It extracts the unfired shells and ejects the fired ones gently but positively. It is about 90% with acouple scratches on the stock which is why I paid $1500 for it in early 80s. I think it is worth about $4000 now (maybe $3000 quick cash sale) and it is my only high grade shotgun. I take it to snooty 'club' hunts and it smashes quail , grouse and pheasants with aplomb of the Purdeys ect of the rich folk
