Colt back from the gun smith

My Colt Commander is back from the gun smith.

Ed Brown Hardcore Hammer
Ed Brown Perfection Sear
Ed Brown Tactical Thumb Safety
Wilson Combat Grip Safety
Novak's Trijicon Night Sights
Wolff 20# recoil spring
4# Tigger Job
Polished feed ramp

Dave Laubert did an awesome job on my pistol! Anyone looking for a 1911 gun smith in the Akron/Cleveland Area check him out: http://www.defensivecreations.com/

Picture sucks since I took it on my phone but I don't have a digital camera

You've taken a great pistol, and made it better. Beautiful Colt you have there. I like all the stuff you had done. How's it shoot?

I like everything about it except the hammer. IMHO there's nothing wrong with the OEM Colt Commander "rowel" style hammer. Thus ultra-thin, elongated loop "combat" hammers scare me. Too many of them fracture.

Agreed.

AMAZING Colt though. I love it. Love it all. Not gonna lie. But I second this comment above.

Which is whyyyyyy.......

But bear in mind....My gun is back at the gunsmiths because after I put $500 into it and he did that beautiful custom beaver tail.....I wanted a real beaver tail. Being done now.

It's the best shooting pistol I have. Disgustingly accurate. I absolutely love it!
