NRA huh
i'm having a delima i was a member 5yrs ago and they spelled my last name wrong. a family member sighned myself up . i gave permission of course but when i started getting mail with my last name spelled wrong and i notified them and they didn't chang it and notified them again and they didn't change it boy i was ****** they want my money and cant spell my last name right. know i might be wrong but my last name is more important to me than me giving them money to pay off polititions. but at the same time i am all for the right to bear arms more so then most i think. i just wish there was another orginization out there to jion with just as much pull. oh and a fellow hunting partner is big time recruiter for the nra and when i told him that story he took the nra pocket knife right out of my hand before i even had time to say if iwas going to sighn up or not. i didn't sighn up threw him that day just to **** him off more. but it is a good orginization i just dont know for give and forget or just leave them alone

It is a associate membership, meaning your really not a member but your interested. That is why you have not recieved a card or a e-mail showing that your a member. The only thing that does is makes the NRA spend millions trying to get membership, money that can be used elsewhere. You can become a life member by using the easy pay life plan. I happen to be a life member, but I really don't need all the junk mail I recieve from the NRA. I have told them time and time again to stop the mailings, but all that did was slow that down a little. Anyway, I really don't need the NRA to protect my gun laws, as you know, the Government will do what they want, bar none. I just pity the poor guy thats comes to take my guns away!

My but they're slow. Over a month later, still haven't received any documentation yet. Is this the norm lately?

I signed up via the $25 membership for a year, and it took a little over a month to get the card, hat, etc.

Thanks BWT.
I guess I'll just have to be patient, but WOW are they slow. I signed up for AAA Automobile Club just last week, and already have their card in my wallet. -Bruce |

I just spoke with NRA since I am already an official member. You do not get the magazine or insurance with the associate membership, but it is an official one year NRA membership for free. I had already used the link to add the children and wife before I called. They all will get the NRA enews email letter and official NRA cards in the mail at the very least. She said address and phone numbers can all be the same and to just use a different email address for each person. You can get rid of these email addresses down the road at any time. to any skeptics, you do not have to give any other info accept the first page the OP's link directs you to. After you press submit there is a message and you have already completed every thing. She said this offer is valid, but it is about to run out. When I first called she had already thought it had been stopped until I gave her the link and she asked her boss. Sign everyone up!!

NRA is slow just be patient. Also while paying is great when / if you can a free member ship is just as good as long as you do your part and tell others to join remind them to vote. Encourage safe shooting first then encourage safe shooting again. I have only been a member two years and have only been into fire arms about 3 years total but this is the general attitude I have received from most of the fellow NRA members I have met. Thank you for joining pay it forward when you can how you can.

Anyone have a problem with the manual saftey not working...as in will fire even when the red dot is covered. Have not been to the range but had a dummy round in to show wife how to handle it and it fired with safe on.

You might want to start a thread sker, you'll get more specific responces and less grief from the members.
