Remington 180gr.
I'm trying to work up a load for my 30-06 with a bunch of remington core lokt 180gr. bullets that were given to me. I'm a newbie and have only been at this for about 6 months and I'm having no luck in finding load data for remington core lokt bullets. I'm I not looking in the right places? I've got a wide variety of powders and primers to select so any data someone could provide as a starting point would be greatly appreciated. That means you Unclenick. Thanx everyone for a great forum .

welcome to the site and just start with a light load recommended for a 180gn bullet.and 4350 might be a good powder to start with.

When you use Rem. bullets , you just have to work up your load. Start with any of the common data for the conventional 180's, start low, watch for preassure signs.
You'll be hard pressed to find explict data for their bullets. The old IMR load data pamplets had some .. but not with that weight Rem. bullet. Unless you are loading for the Garand...whole different set of "rules". |
