How much should it cost?

About how much should it cost me to have my stock Browning A5 barrel converted to screw in Hastings chokes? I realize that most things are location driven, but I could use a ballpark figure to know what most smiths would charge for this work. Thanks in advance. CB.

Assuming a non chrome lined bore we charge $135.00 which includes one choke tube.

OK thanks. A new barrel from Gun Parts is $242 with 1 choke tube. That seems fair enough. Now all I have to do is plead my case to SWMBO. Maybe a late birthday present. Enjoy. CB.
