Ruger .44 carbine barrel band

Does anyone know if the barrel band from a 10/22 will fit a .44 carbine?

Nope, it wouldn't several years and about two decades ago. Now? Things change. Dunno.

After I broke the pot metal band trying to make it fit, I called Ruger customer svc and the nice lady sent, gratis, two new, pot metal, bands.

Somewhere out there, an outfit exists that markets, or did market, real steel hard use bands/sling swivels for the .22rf and the .44 Maggie.

If you find them, please post.

Can't find them myself. Numrich has a lot of parts, but not that one.

BTW, Boyds has stocks for the .44 again.

BTW

While we're at it, I have a semi-inlet, unfinished walnut stock from somebody that is way beyond my skills or interests to fool with. I'd sell it right. PM me if interested.

This is for the old tube feed model.

I like those little rifles, always have.

Numrich has barrel bands back in stock (or at least they did a few weeks ago).

The gunshop I work at just called Ruger last week about a broken BBL band for the 96/44 lever action 44mag. The reccomended getting intouch with Jackfirst gunshop for a replacement. Sorry I don't have the number here or the website but if you google it I'm sure it will come up.
