Pelican 1750 Case?

I've been looking at getting a new gun case. Originally planning on getting a soft case, I found a pelican case that seems like it would work.

I can get a Pelican 1750 (50.5" x 13" x 5") for $160, or a Pelican 1700 (35.5" wide) for $180.

Does anyone have any experience with these cases? And is it worth it to go with the smaller case for my AR? I have a collapsible stock with a 14.5" barrel (31" overall length).

Pelican makes great cases. I got the 1750 for my collapsible stock / 16.5" AR. The extra room is great for keeping extra goodies like mags, optics, pistol, etc.

Just make sure your case comes with the foam you want. Various places online will sell them with no foam, flat foam, ripple foam, or some combination.
