.45 ACP 185 & 200 Gr. LSWC/Unique Loads?

Howdy all,

Okay, very specific here: What are your favorite 185 and 200 grain LSWC loads using Unique? I'm looking for paper punching loads here.

I am currently loading test rounds with the 185 grain, and am expecting the 200 grain bullets to be delivered in the next couple of days.

Yes, I'm checking and cross referencing the load books and online data source (powder company website,) but I'd like to have your opinions as well.

I'm not opposed to trying Red-dot as well (cause I have some.)

Thanks.

Never loaded 185 lead. 200 grain lead SWC: 6.0 grains Unique. My favorite load.

Have since switched to plated. Same load for 200 grain SWC.

185 grain JHP: 6.6 unique.

I load 7.2 gr of Unique with 185gr jhp for my Marlin camp .45 For my pistol I like 5.0grs of B.E or 6.0gr of W-231 with the 185gr. I hav'nt loaded 200's yet but I'm thinking of it. Let us know how it plays out.
