When considering if your choice of firearm is adequate, you have to ask yourself at least two questions:

1. Are you likely to regularly carry a bigger gun?

2. Are you likely to be confronted by multiple assailants?

Being the type of person who is concerned about personal defense, I will assume that you have a level or personal awareness which might keep you from looking like a sheep. Avoidance, and not looking like a victim might prevent you from being confronted to begin with.

Also, street criminals do not commonly expect to meet resistance. I wager that many on this forum were correct in saying that once shots are fired the criminals will scatter, giving you an opportunity to un-ass the area.

The textbook answer to this is to give the guy the money and hope for the best, unless he is about to abduct you or cause you grave bodily harm right there.

Honestly if 2 or 3 guys came up to me 1 or 2 of them with deadly weapons i would pull one of my guns(unless they have the drop on me). If they were both or all unarmed i may put up a physical fight but in the end if my life or my families were in danger all of my earthly energy or my .45 will come to bear ...

The mugger with the gun would get a double tap center mass of whatever I'm packing. The other two would have a choice flee or get the same. Life comes at you quick attack attack attack. Never be a victim!
