KNBC TV Los Angeles Slams Hunter / Barry Bonds
Last night on 11pm KNBC tv news they said:
"Have you wondered what Barry Bonds is doing now that he's not playing baseball? The former Giants slugger is now a rifle spokesman and appears in an online ad for Christensen Arms. The video shows Bonds hunting down a deer north of Alberta, Canada. Maybe it's me, but it doesn't seem like the best idea to show off your hunting exploits online. Barry Bonds, from baseball star to deer hunter; oh, how the mighty have fallen." Suggest you visit the page and leave comments. http://www.nbclosangeles.com/sports/...ve-Fallen.html

Hey Steve Leveton, you are an ignorant fool, for hunters are the only reason there are any wild animals left in most parts of the world. The $$ we pay in license fees and taxes on equipment buy land, protect it from poachers and criminals, pay tofund studies of what the animals need to survive, etc etc. We keep populations healthy and in balance, which is necessary for a healthy ecosystem. Without us, deer overpopulate & destroy the environment, spread disease (like lyme), and cause many fatal car accidents. If you ever fly in airplanes, then hunters have kept your plane from crashing to the ground by controlling the bird populations at major airports. Get educated on the necessity of hunting and you'll learn to thank hunters intead of mock them.

It is quite a fall to go from being paid many millions of dollars as a baseball star, to doing a quasi-celebrity rifle endorsement.

Perhaps Bonds simply LIKES to hunt and shoot? Since he has all the money he needs he can do some simple endorsements for things he enjoys and pick up a couple bucks without being concerned about making a million.
