Ammo Trays

Im in need of a little help here... I keep my reloaded ammo in .50cal ammo cans and I noticed that they fit 1000 rounds of my .45ACP perfectly in 50 round trays. That being said, now im looking to acquire enough trays to sort my ammo neatly. Does anyone here have any trays theyrd willing to sell to me?

I save my carboard boxes, and plastic trays for when I buy 100 round walmart value packs for fresh brass.

Understood. I get my brass from the local range and also purchase it when I need bulk amounts. I refuse to buy ammo since I began reloading. Therefore, Im looking for an alternative way to acquire these trays. Again, if anyone has any theyre willing to sell, please lemme know. Thank You.

I started buying these.

http://www.berrysmfg.com/products-c30-100_Round.aspx

But now I just put 3-400 rounds per ammo can loosely.

If I buy my 100 round value packs from Walmart, they're cheaper than buying brass, bullets, powder, and primers. Reusing the brass saves me money, but paying for all four components, its cheaper getting the value packs. $30 for 100.

How about for free?

Is it possible to do a little dumpster diving at your local range? Probably quicker than trying to buy them.

Thanx buddy, I have but only been ableto get 8-9 so far in several months. I would rather pay for some and get it over with. If you have more success at your range and would be willing to help, I would be very grateful. Either way, Thank You.

Frankfort arsenal makes inexpensive plastic boxes for ammo. For pistol, they make them in 50 and 100 rnd. They can be purchaced at Midway USA. If I remember correctly, you can get cardboard boxes too from Midway.

Maybe this should be in the For Sale section, but since you asked about trays and boxes.....
I have cardboard ammo cartons for sale for those of you who want to pack your ammo neatly in cartons, and not used butter tubs and such. First, I'm not a dealer, and these are not a business for me. I was looking for a good sturdy box made like the military boxes, couldn't find them, so I had some made for my own use by a friend in the printing business. In order to get the fiberboard I wanted I had to order a lot, and I ended up with extra boxes. These are what I have for sale.

All boxes are made of 18 point white fiberboard, similar to the USGI cartons, and they are unprinted. None require any kind of inserts, and there are no styrofoam trays to break and blow away. They are all reusable many times. You can print labels for them if you wish. And, all boxes are shipped flat so they store easily and take up a minimum of room.

Now, the box details. I have the following boxes left, priced per box:

.45 ACP 50 round cartons .30 each Packs 1,000 per .50 cal can
9mm 50 round cartons .30 each Packs more than 1,000 per .50 cal can
5.56mm 20 round cartons .35 each Packs 820 per .50 cal can
7.62mm 20 round cartons .35 each Packs 460 per .50 cal can
.38 Special 50 round cartons .35 each Packs 1,000 per .50 cal can Note these are 2-part, consisting of a fold-up tray and a sleeved carton with end flaps that fold in to secure the tray. Made just like the Air Force M41 cartons.
.30 carbine cartons are sold out.
.40 cal cartons are sold out.

I ship the cheapest way, usually flat-rate mail. I can get 200 cartons in a medium box for $11.00. I can quote exact postage after you decide how many of each carton you need. I accept Paypal, cash, check, money orders, and credit cards, whatever works for you.

Let me know what you need and I'll get back with a firm price including shipping.

I already have a good supply of .50cal ammo cans, I just wanna store them neatly in those cans. I look forward to your response... Thank You.

When I use a disgarded 50 rd.ammo box many people think I'm shooting factory loads. The different size boxes don't have a uniform stack, but it's hard to beat dumpster prices.

The pics I have are too large for the forum to post, but if you'll send me your email address I can email pics. Any particular boxes you want to see, just mention the caliber.

I'd like to find empty brown military boxes for my .223.... anyone know where to get those?
They're like the color of a paper grocery bag, and hold 20 rounds of 5.56 in them with a small insert...

Well, Ive been dumpster diving lately at the range and have been able to acquire some trays which is nice.. Thanx for the tip.

Has anyone found those small cardboad boxes for 20 or so rounds of 223 and 308?? Ive been reloading for both and that would be awesome to organize them a little more neatly than just throwing them in an ammo can??

Send me a pm. I have probably 700 rounds in the 20 rounds boxes. Its pmc ammo. I use the berry's boxes myself so I could get around to emptying the 20 round cardboard ones if you really wanted them. Just pay shipping

I bought 3 of the plastic ammo boxes for .223 Rem at Cabella's I think they were in the area of $2.99 or so. Each holds 100 rounds. Well worth what I paid for them, and I am a major cheap skate when it comes to buying things like that.

For the longest time the majority of my ammo was transported in either zipper bags, or repurpoused plastic peanut butter jars. (I still keep my .45 acp cast lead loads in the peanut butter jars.)
