Well, I doubt that the safety-deposit box locks are pick-proof, but it's easier to just drill them out.

I can't think of a reason, other than lack of space, not to put other valuables in my gun safe. Providing a place for jewelry, important documents, etc., was part of the reason SWMBO assented to the purchase of a gun safe.
