savage edge/axis...
Hey all just bought a savage edge from a friend i. 270. It is what it is but overall i am kinda impressed. My own personal opinion is i like the ruger american better but the savage is nice the only people oblem is the trigger. It is relatively crisp but very heavy.
Does. Anyone besides rifle basics offer a replacement trigger? The rifle basic is only 90 bucks and it goes from 13 ounces to 3 pounds. |

I did my own adjustments...
I have a Savage Axis in .223 and found the same thing with my trigger; it was very clean and crisp, just heavy.
If you are comfortable doing so, I snipped off 2 coils from trigger spring and voila! It is now down to a very nice, light pull (do not have a trigger pressure gauge, but I would guess it to be about 2-2.5 pounds). I found a couple videos on Youtube showing how they did it, and pretty much followed suit. Good luck.

Rifle Basix makes a trigger for it.
I put one in my Axis/Edge 7mm-08. Big Difference. LINK: http://www.riflebasix.com/ |
