I will soon be receiving my first custon 1911, and was thinking of trying out IDPA, isntead of just plinking away at the range by myself. Anybody know where I could hook up with a group in or near silicon valley, ca.?

This is a crazy question - You have probably already checked, but just in case you haven't....
www.idpa.com They list the clubs on this site. You may be able to find one close to you. Or, you could always start an IDPA club... (grin) |

I did check, but there wern't any nearby clubs listed. I thought maybe there might be a new unlisted one, or just formign one nearby.
Thanks, Canuck |

Give the Cal Rifle & Pistol Assoc. a call. I'm sure they can help.

The closest IDPA to the Silicon Valley is at the Chabot Gun Club (http://www.chabotgunclub.com/idpa.htm). The match results are posted at:
