Marlin camp 9 Buffer

Hi,
We got a really good deal on a Marlin Camp Carbine 9mm. It was brand new and never fired. It was sitting around for 20 years. We took it took the range after a quick lube and ran into a problem. The buffer cracked and jammed the gun after 25 rounds. We figured ok, it is old. We bought two new Derilin buffers which supposedly dont break. It lasted 26 rounds. So we figured maybe it is the recoil spring. We got and installed a 21 pounder and proceeded to the range. Once again another buffer broken. We use S&B 115gr regular pressure ammo. We are out of ideas. Does anybody have the same problem with this rifle? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Craig
