I did a work down to find the threshold of not jamming with a Kahr P380, and then worked to proof loads [135% pressure of what I will carry].

That was tapping powder into the scale while wearing hearing and eye protection.

Here is 50,000 psi Quickload and 7,000 psi [jams] Quickload

That is a really nice rig Clark.

I'm working on a batch of .38 specials to shoot with a buddy in his S&W model 10 that his father just gave him. He can't find any practice ammo.

I've been very miserly with my components lately, but for a good friend I'll take 50 Hornady .358" LFP's out of the cache and burn up some Tula primers and some HP-38 that I'm not using. The brass will be returned to me.

Was able to measure powder and seat bullets for 100 rounds 223 yesterday. 55gr Hornady SP and 24.7gr TAC.

Spent an hour or so Sunday morning loading some 140 grain Accubonds into fifty of those new 7mm rem mag cases, I also have finished resizing, and trimming/camfering/reaming/primer-pocket cleaning on 112 cases.

Thread's still going! OK. Next workups are .223/65 SGK/BL-C(2) and .338 Win Mag/215 SGK/Re22. Got a bunch of others to try as soon as the range opens in March. FWIW, the big cannon seems to like everything I give it, but the AR is a little flighty. Not bad for a semi-auto carbine, but not quite a precision instrument. Maybe these GameKings will be the ticket.

I finally got around to loading up my .38 Spl rounds noted as started in my 2/18 post. Finished boxing up 200 rounds of 125g Rem SJFP over 4.9g of Universal and another 250 rounds of 148g Rem HBWC over 3.2g Universal. This put me to the end of a 1000 ct box of the HBWC which I will be thankful to clean my dies of forever. Great shooters, cheap and accurate, but messy!

Now that I again have a .44 mag (M29) I spent the day loading test batches for 240 gr LSWC with Unique and W296 and some 300 gr LFP with W296.

I took the 4" M29 Mountain Gun to the gravel pit last weekend with factory 240 and 300 gr JSP. I REALLY lime this gun. For some reason the sights are the easiest for my aging eyes to see of all my handguns, so a big us for that. Trigger is nice and single action is very light and clean break. Well balanced. I like it so much I'm tempted to try to carry it instead of my G27!

While I am working up near max test loads with W296, I plan to mostly shoot medium loads using Unique at the range and carry the full power loads in the woods.

Big honkin' cases and bullets. And they are thirsty for powder!

.243 with Sierra HPBT 85 grain. I loaded 5 test loads yesterday at minimum powder level, 33 grains and was pleased. Better accuracy than I expected and the recoil was much nicer than factory loads. I was too cold to shoot more than 5 anyway.

I used IMR-4895 and I know it is probably not optimal in .243, but I can use it for 30.06 as well. Just wanted to stick with one rifle powder to start. I was impressed that it shot so well.

Those were my first rifle loads and they went smooth. Today I plan on loading about 25 more.

I shoot a lot of cap and ball revolvers and all of them are 44 which use .451 diameter balls.
I’ve wanted to load some 45 LC with ball for a long time and I noticed that the old Speer #10 manual had a load for the same ball. These are 141 GR with a suggested load of Unique.
They were actually difficult to load. The bullet depth was very difficult to set up. Many of the first couple looked fine but the bullet would actually turn in the case. In fact they turned very easily.
If I was going to do this a lot I would have a case belling die made so that the only thing it did was to bell the case.
These rounds are real zippers. The velocity is so high that I expect you’ll be able to see the bullet leave the barrel. 590 FPS per the Speer manual.
Looking forward to popping a couple. When the darn weather gets nice.

Tumbled some different cartidges in corn cob and Brasso yesterday, rinsed them in soap&water last night to get the rest of the Brasso off, laid them out to dry.

Today I started decapping some of the .223, and a case got stuck in the resizing die.

I went to the Lee website and did a search. They have an excellent site with troubleshooting videos. I watched the one on how to get a stuck case out, and did it. No problem.

With the rest I did today I did not forget to lube them up really well.

Prep'd and now cleaning 200 .223 PMC cases (for plinking) in my wet stainless steel rod tumbler. I built the tumbler myself. Im proud. Looks ghetto, but works like a champ.

Cranked out another 50 rounds of .357 with a MBC 158gr SWC and 5.7grs of Unique. Pretty much my go to round for just all around plinking.

I use the same combo in my .243. The Sierra 85gr HPBT and IMR 4895 and my results have been absolutely outstanding. Plus as you said it works great in the .30-06. For your 06, try the IMR 4895 and Sierra's 180gr HPBT matchking, mine loves that combo.

Finished up 350 rounds of .45 ACP tonight. 50 test rounds of Frontier 230g RN CMJ split over 4.6g and 4.9g of Titegroup; 50 rounds of Hornady 200g SWC over 6.0g Universal; and 250 rounds of Frontier 230g RN CMJ over 5.6g Universal.

Had the day off so I decided to load up 200 rounds of 45 Colt in between smoking steps from a ham from my Oklahoma hog hunt.

250 RNFP S&S Lead .452 over 8.7gr Unique with Federal primers.

Thanks for the tip, Big Yac, on the 185 gr Sierra for 30.06. I will look for them next trip to Scheels.

Off work early, so I am putting together a few 30.06 with IMR-4895. Got some minimum powder loads going with Nossler Accubond 150 grain and some 150 grain bullets pulled from M2 ball ammo. Probably 5 of each for testing if the rain holds off tomorrow.

Not reloading anything today, but have been putting my new stainless steel pin tumbler setup through its paces since Tuesday. Does a beautiful job, but at two pounds per batch, it'll be a while until I've tumbled everything I've got on hand.

Loading up some 9mm and 10mm today. I just got going this week, and I love my new hobby!

For the 9mm, I'm loading 124gr Speer TMJ over 5.0gr Unique.

The 10mm are Precision Delta 165gr FMJ over 14.0gr Accurate #9.

The only 9mm I've done thus far were the above bullets over 5.7gr True Blue. My wife really enjoyed shooting them in her P30. I'm quickly learning why the 10mm is the reloader's dream cartridge....I have 5 different bullets and several powders I'm itching to try out
