Broken main spring.
I've had a Kentucky flintlock pistol that I built from a kit over 30 years ago and just fired it for the 1st time today ( .45 cal ). I had to wait til I got my pistol permit which takes forever in New York. After the last shot the main V-spring broke in 3 pieces. I've searched the internet under Kentucky flintlock pistol & found lots of sites that look like they still sell the same kits. But I don't see any that sell replacement parts. Anybody know of a site that might sell them?

Suggest that you do a photo-copy of the spring such that the seller can best match it up with stuff in stock. Put the pieces together as if the lock was not broken.

This was a kit gun. I did look at Dixie Gun works but never found just lock parts. I'll try again. My computer navigating skills aren't that good.

Make it easy on yourself and call Dixie on the phone. Saves a lot of time hunting around; their catalog is huge and their search engine leaves a lot to be desired.
