Spanish Air Force M44 rifle?
I got a nice Mauser today at the local show as I was looking for a decent shooter to properly dispose of some surp. 8MM. Got a Spanish Mauser in pretty nice shape, but probably rearsenaled. It is a M44 with the Air Force emblem on the receiver ring. This thing looks different than the M43 in my books. Has ears on the sight, a-la Turkish, side sling swivels, and a nice walnut stock. What is the deal with this gun? Rare? curiosity? just a shooter? Overall nice condx. and the seller checked the headspace in front of me. Not in the Olsen book that I could find! Thanks
