Browning 32 ACP help!
I just picked up a FN Browning 1922 and I'm confused on when it was made. Ive heard manyyyyy different things about it (through internet ofcourse). And to be honest, I dont know whats true. the serial # is 283297, has the grips with FN at the top, has FN on the trigger guard. has what appears to be a lion with a line under it, then PV, a star, then a "C" thats the ONLY markings it has on it, no crests, no waffenamps, thats it. it has 17 serrations which i heard meant it was during nazi occupation of Belgium, but i only saw that on one site.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks! |

This one was given to me by my father. He took it off a German officer about 2 miles outside of Dachau concentration camp. I even have the paper work he had to fill out so that he could bring home a “War prize”. Almost every part on the gun has a swastika.
They are nice well made guns but whatever you do NEVER dry fire it. The firing pin can be broken easily. I shoot mine every June 6th to remember where he was that day. I miss him. Last edited by Ozzieman; October 1, 2016 at 05:19 PM. |
