1911 & TruGlo Fiber Obtic Sights
Front sight is loose on my 1911 and thought I'd try something different. Purchased a set of TruGlo Firesights to replace the existing sights. The rear sight will install without problem (dovetail and set screw) but the front sight poses a challenge. I can carefully remove the existing sight that is staked into the slide but the new TruGlo sight is a composite material that obviously will not like staking. Anyone suggest an alternate means of securing the sight besides epoxy?
And no TruGlo has not answered my request for info. |

Truglo makes a metal set as well as a fiber (plastic?) set. If you have the fiber type then I would use Black Max locktite. The metal one should stake on. George
