I have a Italian made Cap & ball .36 caliber that the
code date is XXI. The top of the barrel is marked F.A.R.A.

Anyone know who made this??

Here you go Tinker2, The Italian database that I utilize only lists "fara" as "IT" (Italian) under its listing of: Tradenames and Brands of Guns and Gunsmakers.
You're fortunate that it's clearly listed as such and that you don't have to try to guess if the letters represent the initials of a registered Italian gunsmith.
