Sounds like a Norinco... armco doesn't ring any bells though.

I don't care for under-folders, but Norinco AKs are top notch.

I love my Norinco AKM-47S.

Wish I had an underfolder to match.

My Polish underfolder was stolen a couple years ago.

Still doing research for yhis one.So far found out that it is a pre ban.Owner had it in his collection for over 20 years.ARMCO'S owner was jailed in 91 or 92 for importing guns from china when a ban was on.This ak has all matching serial numbers,it looks likee it was made before norinco or polytech were imported.

If it's a Chicom it should have a triangle with 66 in it(Norinco) or an oval with 386 in it (Polytech). The 1rst AK's imported were brought in for Hollywood and by GSAD and are marked Man. Beach Cal.. The importer that I think you are talking about is ARMCO which little info is avalible. They were out of Ma. and yes the owner did get in trouble for importing rifles. What he imported I do not know?

Well sombody must know something about it,I was offered 1000 for it sight unseen.I understand these pre ban ak's from armco are fairly rare.I don't intend to sell it.Had it out this morning and its right on target at 50 yards.
