The gang got together today

I put the call out last week for a bunch of my buddies who used to work together at a defunct computer company to head out to the range for a little get together. I'll tell you what, it's something that I should have done a long time ago! Five of us showed up.

We ended up with just about every kind of firearm that you can imagine, short of fully automatic and large caliber. From Mosins to Mausers, Garands to SKSs, Winchesters to Colts, it was an absolute kick in the pants.

We shot rifles, pistols and shotguns for about four hours and pretty much wore ourselves out. And the ace of the day was, of all people, my wife, who put a five shot group inside an inch and a half at 100 yards with my pal's Garand - the first time she ever picked up the rifle!

We had so much fun that we're going to make it a monthly event. Next month will be a little chilly, so we're going to take it to the club's indoor range and shoot handgun loads. It looks like we've got commitments from another three or four folks to show up!
