I own a Taurus 22-PLY, 3 Beretta NEOS', a Beretta 87 Cheetah, a Bersa Thunder 22, a pair of Ruger 22/45's, and a CZ-75B Kadet.

I guess if I had to pick a favorite,,,
It would probably be the Beretta 87 Cheetah,,,
There's something about that little shooter that makes me smile.

I hit best with the 5.5" Rugers,,,
The CZ is a perfect understudy to my 9mm,,,
The Beretta NEOS', the 22-PLY, and the Bersa are great fun to shoot.

But it's the Cheetah that makes me smile when I pick it up,,,
I had wanted one ever since my former Mother-in-law let me shoot hers.

It is drop-dead sexy looking,,,

Plenty accurate, and reliable as the day is long,,,
Plus no other pistol brings out my inner James Bond like it does.

It just tickles my fancy.

Probably my favorite, since it gets the most use, is Ruger SR1911 with a Marvel .22 lr upper on it...it's good for one inch gps at 25 yds with the right ammunition and a good seated two handed grip. A close runner up would be my Ruger SR1911 CMD with the shorter Ciener .22 lr upper installed.

I own and shoot a S&W M41 of early 70's vintage, with several barrels for it, including the seldom seen 5-1/2" field barrel, but the two Ruger mentioned above, are usually the ones I pull out of the safe. The same goes for a treasured 4" Colt Diamondback in .22 lr....a great gun, but just not as useful as the Rugers with .22 uppers installed.

Son #2 was always partial to my wife's '72 vintage Ruger Super Single-Six...until it was stolen in a recent home break-in. That too, was a tack driver.

Single Six.

I had a P22 and really liked it though. I would buy a P22 and carbine if I won the lottery.
My MK II is a pretty accurate gun, but I don't enjoy shooting it all that much.

If I had a Buckmark pistol and carbine the combo might edge out the single six.

I have had my Ruger Mark1 for about 40 years. It has never let me down. Just recently I put Hogue grips on it and really like the feel of them. Have not had it at the range with the new shoes on yet but hope to do that soon.

My favorite .22 handgun seems to change on a regular basis. Currently it's my recently acquired Hi-Standard H-D Military made in 1947.

The one that always seems to make the trip to the range no matter what else I take is my 30 year old Ruger MKII with it's recently added Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite upper. The went from a very good shooter to a tack driver.

I think my best one is my neos with the 4.5" barrel. I shoot this one in leagues. But I think my favorite is the Sig 1911-22, this one is just plain fun to shoot. Especially with Super-x as bullets (they give it just a little kick). I really like having a 'regular' gun chambered in .22lr. My next .22 will be the M&P.

Honorable mention goes to the Smith 22A. This work horse is accurate, fun to shoot, and never misses a beat. I can't count how many bricks of .22 have gone through it.

My late dad and I have carried the Colt Woodsman for our lifetimes.

Mine is a Woodsman Target with the 6" barrel. I have had it and a carry permit since 1957.

That's 56 years!

We carried the Woodsman as a back up and fun plinking gun when hunting,
Dad shot in competition with his.

For hunting I carry the Woodsman in my back pocket, chamber empty, barrel up. With a jacket on or shirt tail out it's concealed.

Well... today, this is. I was blasting Black Walnuts a 10 yards. It takes a little practice, because the suppressor blocks the sights, but if you "aim through" the suppressor, you are good to go. Fun little pistol.
