Shots fired matter legally???

I was reading about George Zimmman case and some were saying that if he had shot, in self defense, more than once, he would be viewed s guilty.

Huh?

I train to shoot til the violence stops, no matter how many shots it takes.
We shoot to stop.

One shot from a Keltec 9mm?
I guess that is all it took in this self defense incident.

Are there any laws in blue states that limit the number of shots allowed in a self defense shooting?
first I heard of a shot limit?
In Texas they o things differently.

1. We aren't discussing Zimmerman until the prosecution rests. So no discussion of him yet.

2. There are no such laws as to limiting shots fired.

3. You have to make a case for reasonable self-defense. If you continue to fire at a clearly disabled or neutralized opponent to cause unnecessary injury, then the extra shots will be counted against you - as in the now famous Pharmacist case.

That pretty much covers it and to avoid a Zimmerman diversion - closed.
