I dont think youd find one to fit the AR15. Due to the bullet length not fitting the mag well.

.243 WSSM can be fired from an AR-15, so there have to barrels out there somewhere...

my train of thought is so that I can start turning out 6x45mm ammo. it was all the rage with ar15s before 6.5 and 6.8 hit the market and then all the interest just died apparently. I have found a lot of information on them in the arfcom and M4c archives but nothing recently. I like the idea because it follows the same guidelines as 300 blk but doesn't hinder the charge by firing a bullet that's too heavy.

What kind of bolt do you use for .243 through an AR15? I'm kind of fond of .243 myself, but never thought about being able to fire them through an AR15.

You don't shoot 243 Win through an AR-15. For other 243 cartridges, the bolt depends on the parent cartridge. The 6x45 mentioned above is based on the 223 Rem, so it's the 223 Rem bolt. The 243 WSSM is based on .300 WSSM, and uses a larger bolt face.

Fishbed said the .243 wssm could be shot through an AR. I know regular .243 won't work, but was wondering about the .243 wssm. I'd probably just go with a .300 Blackout, if I were going to build something other than another 5.56.

Olympic Arms sells uppers in 243 WSSM. I'm not familiar with their process for making that combination work but I think it involves using a bigger bolt head to accomodate the much larger head of the WSSM case. Mags are single column holding 7 to 9 rounds.
The 6mmx45 used to be a step up compared to the .223 in terms of bullet performance but I can't say that's still true. There are now several .224 bullets designed to perform well on deer sized game and bullets designed to beat the wind as well as the 243 bullets that work in the 6mmx45 cartridge.

There's a seller on GunBroker who lists uppers chambered for 6mmx45 from time to time. When I've got $500 laying around with no other use, I'll have one for the Grandkids to deer hunt with. I kind of like different stuff.
