Hoppe's #9 and Hoppe's elite gun cleaner ?

Has anyone compared these two ? Is one better than the other ? Is the #9 for cleaning the bore and the elite gun cleaner for the rest of the gun ?

I use #9 for most cleaning and it works well for my purposes. I use the Elite on nickeled finishes because the #9 can damage the copper underlay.

Recently I bought a bottle of hoppes #9 semi auto. What I have noticed is that when I clean with the hoppes #9 semi auto the patches come out much, much blacker. The impression is that it is cleaning a lot more of something out of the barrel. I don't know if anyone has tested one vs the other but I would be interested in seeing some genuine test results.
