Photo big bull elk
This nice bull was photographed last October just south of Wind Cave Park. I'd guess-timate his weight at about 750 to 825 lbs. I've seen many elk but never observed the 1,000 pound armor-plated species described by Craig Boddington. Jack |

That bugger is huge you would think that his horns would be bigger than that or mabey his body is so big it takes away from his horns

Yep, they sure are heavy.....are you suppose to gut them before transporting or when you get home?

My grandad shot this five point in 1964. My grandad was 5'10" and the photo has not been tampered with.
