Fricking Ruger Red Label!!!!

Ok,
I have a Ruger Red Label, stainless 30 inch barrels and action with all-weather stock. The problem: The safety kicks on between shots when using 3 inch steel high velocity loads.

It functions fine with 2 3/4 shells for Upland birds. I bought the gun for ducks and geese. I would dump it but it just one of those guns that fits me perfectly and hits everything I point it at. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks Rich

Betcha anything it's the inertia that causes it to move back. Will it do the same with other shot?

Sorry but that's one gun that I don't even fathom. Ruger has only 2 or 3 people assemble those guns. It may be best to send it back.

I think I know what is wrong, but that is too nice a gun to give advice about on here. I agree with Gary on sending it to Ruger.

Call them, tell them what is wrong and it is likely they will send you a shipping label so they pay shipping both ways.
