Combine a waterfowl hunt with a football Saturday down South

If any of you folks who live in the area of the Big East or Southeastern Conference who like football would enjoy combining a waterfowl hunting trip with a college football Saturday, you may be interested in this: East Carolina University Athletic Director Terry Holland, is hoping the recent conference realignment talk presents an opening for ECU in either the Big East (or maybe even the Southeastern Conference, I think) . Read the attached hyperlink and you'll get the drift.

For you hunters who are also football fans, just about an hour or so down highway 264 east of Greenville (ECU campus) lies Hyde County, N.C., one of the greatest waterfowl hunting areas in all the world. No problem at all arranging a hunt. (Great fishing down east too during that time of year. Great oysters then too) Just type "Lake Mattamuskeet hunting' or "Swan Quarter hunting" into a search engine and you'll get an idea of what's availiable.

I attach 2 hyperlinks, one to Terry Holland's ECU promo called "Undaunted". The second hyperlink gives dates for North Carolina's waterfowl hunting seasons. Maybe if East Carolina connects, within a year or two, you'll be able to combine a waterfowl hunting trip with a football Saturday down south to watch your favorite team play the Pirates. Great tailgating at ECU. Try an oyster roast before the game. Rose Bay oysters. Mmmmm!
