Excell Semi's

Ok, tell me the pros and cons of the H&R Excell semi-automatics. Is it made in China like a lot of their Pardners? Is it a knock-off on the Remington design? All I know is the price is right. Local Wally World( West Central FL ) has the SA 1-182 for around $ 320.00 plus tax.

Thanks

How much more is an American built Mossberg semi in that same gun rack? $80? I would easily spend $80-100 more for a brand of American manufacture. And yes there are a few imported models of Mossberg but they are obviously noted on the box and decals as "Mossberg International"...

Don't know anything about the Excell as all H&R (other than some singles for the most part) guns are re-branded import guns.

I personally have no desire to shy from my tried and true American brands.

Haven't priced a 930 or 935 yet, I too am a Mossburg fan and if my ship comes in I will buy either a 930 or 935. I just live a little far from the gulf to be able to see if the ship is coming in.

Well if my ship doesn't come in we always have "recovery summer II" to look forward to since "recovery summer I" wasn't worth a flip.

Well, if your ship is a rowboat there are loads of used semi-autos out there and a buddy of mine recently bought a Weatherby 20 ga semi-auto that has worked perfectly through several hundred rounds of testing on the trap range.

No, it isn't made in the USA but at least it didn't come from China.
