I've read the Ruger P95 is a good shooter - one of the easier 9mm's in terms of felt recoil. Let us know how the wife (and you) like it.

So many times (most?) I read about people ignoring everyone's warnings and buying a crappy handgun that they'll eventually regret. Thank GOD someone bought a decent handgun!!!!

You'll love the P95. It's one of the absolute BIGGEST bangs for the buck out there today. Great quality, reliability and value. Please enjoy in good health.

Thanks guys, this was her choice.
I want a sig and had her looking at them but she was set on the Ruger.

She's a new shooter and we've been shooting my dad's. She has nothing to compare it to, but she's more comfortable with the safeties.
As long as she's shooting and comfortable, then that's more time we get together

I wouldn't give up my P95 for anything. Built like a tank and reliable as all get out. Great gun.
